Crest Financial Services is always looking at ways we can strengthen and develop our team to ensure the best advice and service for our clients. To this end, we recently took the team to Old Bar for a 2-day conference at the Meridian Resort to enhance these skills.
We utilised external and internal speakers and facilitators to run various sessions. These included Charmion Ingram, AMP’s Manager of Business Planning Capability, and Ben Climo, our Charter Financial Services Business Partnership Manager.
A highlight was Charmion’s session on the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI). This practical workshop showed how thought processes vary between individuals and how we can use this theory to connect with each other and our clients on a more personal level.
A number of enjoyable team challenges were also carried out during our stay at the resort. Each group completed these challenges and received (or lost) points which were added up to determine the winners. Congratulations to ‘Team Purple,’ consisting of Astrid Weber, Julie Sponberg, Andrew Thomas and Jessica Worboys, who were announced the winners at the end of the conference.
In the afternoons the team spent time together on the beach and in the resort pool and spa, or playing table tennis and pool. They also enjoyed some delicious meals for dinner prepared by Cracklin Woodfire Pizza and the bistro at Club Old Bar.
The team agreed it was a great few days of learning and team building, providing them with greater insights into what can be done to strengthen Crest Financial Services as a business, and deliver excellent advice and service to our clients.
