On Thursday the 14th of February, Ruby, Charmaine, Susan, Emma and Paul from the Crest Accounting team took part in the Annual Sailing Day held by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. The day began at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club where the team shared some drinks and canapés while meeting the crew and their yacht, Anarchie. The race kicked off at 2:30 pm with approximately 25 yachts entering the competition. All those on board enjoyed learning the ropes while completing a loop from Belmont, out to Coal Point, around Pulbah Island and back again.
With a Handicap start and sailing out 24 minutes after the first yacht, the crew & team put in a great effort and the Anarchie ended up placing 7th overall.
The team at Crest would like to say a big thank you to Paul & Carole Hannan for taking us out on their yacht, Daz for teaching them the ropes, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants for putting on such an eventful day. A special thank you also goes out to our Practice Manager, Susan Mullard, for organising the event for all the staff to enjoy.
