Over 3 action-packed days at Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre in Singapore, 9 members of our Crest team participated in a variety of events and sessions, to come back to Newcastle with a fresh outlook on our business.
Media personality Jonathon Biggins opened the conference in a humorous way, before the team heard from a variety of inspirational speakers, along with familiar AMP faces, to give an update on what lies ahead for our practice.
Ross Bernstein gave an extremely enthusiastic speech to reinforce the concept that individuals win games, but teams win championships, and Todd Sampson inspired everyone to climb Everest un-guided, or at least set achievable goals.
Everyone was involved in many insight sessions and workshops, on a variety of topics, from debt, SMSF, risk and insurance, to future outlooks and learning how to communicate more effectively with female clients. When collaborated together, the information everyone was given has begun to be implemented practice-wide, with results already showing through – watch this space!
With an information overload throughout the day, the team members were lucky enough to be given an insight into the history of Singapore, with an evening spent at the historic Raffles Hotel.
The final day of conference saw the team participate in more broadly focused workshops, in areas such as relationships and finding a ‘third space’, interesting notions which every person could learn from. Jackie Furey and Dr Adam Fraser were two stand-out presenters in these sessions.
The awards ceremony and Gala Dinner were held in the Grand Ballroom of Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre. Crest Financial Services was once again named a “Leader Practice” for 2014, a title which the team are proud to be given. Crest would also like to congratulate other award recipients, which were all well deserved.
